Even though I couldn't literally attend any classes for sketching with our Incredibly great artist Kaushik Hegde, I want to thank him for guiding me in WhatsApp for both these sketches..

Today am presenting some of my recent Portrait Sketches..

Am so happy because I didn't know I can sketch a portrait without any reference scale.

I really believe we don't know what we can do until we push ourself to it..

I was big fan of Aishwarya Rai Bucchhan(not now) during my college days and I used to try drawing her picture and some pics randomly chosen from internet which i have already uploaded in my blog..I did everything with the help of reference scale.. But I had stopped sketching portraits after that.. Few days back I suddenly started drawing my daughter's pic and it came out somewhat okay.. I tried again and again almost daily and I have come up with the results which you can see below :)

Its been quite long time I painted or sketched something. 

These are few Mandala doodles I tried recently and its my new crush of the season because it can be done with minimum equipments.. With a couple of color pens and a pencil and a while simple sheet that's it.

I find these mandala designs as our old mehndi designs or we can say both designs are very similar.. I have always been fond of applying mehndi so I found these mandala designs quite practiced already.. But loved doing them.. Many more to come soon..

Marble Cake

Am so happy!! after really a very long time I could bake something perfect today..  and thats Choco Vanilla Marble cake. It came out really very smooth and tasty.. got big thumbs up from my hubby so here are the pics of my today's baked goody :)

I clicked so many pics of these pretty ones and could not stop.. cause its been long time I clicked something. When I bake something good and click them, definitely they should be in my blog.. So here are they.. "CHOCO VANILLA MARBLE"

I got the recipe of this cake from my friend Madhura who is a great home baker..but I always make little changes according to the ingredients available in my kitchen..and regularly bake this cake as it gives perfect taste and texture.

Yummy they really are!!

Recipe,

1 cup curd

1 cup milk powder

1 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup milk

2 cups maida/plain flour

1 cup sugar

vanilla esscence 1 tsp

1/2 tsp baking soda and baking powder

pinch of salt

Method,

Sieve all dry ingredients in a container and keep aside. Prepare the baking tin and keep aside(apply oils/butter and sprinkle the flour). Now mix all the wet ingredients well in a bowl and add the sugar and whisk until  sugar is completely melted.. then add the sieved dry ingredients to it slowly and fold them gently.. transfer it to baking tin..preheat the oven @180 degree Celsius and bake it for about one hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean..Voila..its done.. have warm cake with coffee or tea.. or decorate it with frosting and enjoy the cake.

 P.S - If you want chocolate flavor then add 3 tbsp of coco powder and 1-2 tsp of milk and mix well then bake.

Lady in RED

Since long time I wanted to draw a lady from back-view.. finally I could make one few days back ..I have named her "Lady in RED"
It exactly took 2 hours for me to complete..

The landscape painting which I have uploaded below is the one I made recently with my daughter.. made in just half an hour.. you can figure it out by its quality itself..ha ha..

Fruit Rosettes

Welcome to "Colors Of Life"

After setting my small home studio I have experimented with it and the result has come out very well..  Since I love food photography its the best-est way for me to experiment more and more food photography :)

Now you might be wondering whats this "Home Studio" thing!! right? many asked me 'have I started a studio at home?' after seeing my first pic post  in facebook ha ha.. (had mentioned the picture is experimented in my new home studio while posting). Anybody can make their own.. just search "how to make own photo studio using a box" and you will get it..

Today am sharing some pics taken in my new home studio :)
I have made rosettes using Mango, Tomato and Banana fruit.. we can also make use of cucumber, potato,beetroot and many other fruits and veggies to make such rosettes.. I have used what I had with me at the time..
chop the fruit vertically then keep the cut side down and make very fine slices.. then slowly make a long log out of the slices and then slowly roll it to a round shape.. decorate it with your dish and serve :)

Oil Paintings

Finally!!! Oil paintings yeyy.. am very happy to share with you all my paintings today..
After trying numbers of paintings with oil colors its time for me to share a few with you all..

I get very attracted to the paintings which has orange color.. I don't know why.. if you have gone through all my painting posts you can see many of them are with orange color as a major color..landscapes as well as abstracts.. and today also.. my paintings has Orange as major color.. :)

The "Peachy Birds" is the oil painting I made very recently..I found the original pic in google and I just couldn't stop myself from trying it out.. as am not at all experienced in oils I was scared.. I don't wanted to spoil the painting.. Still gathered all courage and tried my hand.. Its not perfect but still happy with the outcome as a beginner.

The other Landscape oil paintings I shared are made during my practice in oil colors.. Please have a look on all the paintings and give your precious feedback..
