"Kaavee Kale" Mural Paintings

Hello All!

Welcome to "Colors Of  Life"

Today am very happy to share my new paintings.. Because its "Kavee Kale" the art of Karnataka. We can find most of these murals in some of the temples in Kumta and the famous "Shri Marikamba Temple" Sirsi, Uttara Kannada.

Kavee art is a very anciant art. The term "Kavi" is the local name for Indian red pigment which is the only color used for the murals.
Here I have shared 3 art piece, the first one Hanuman kills Akshaya kumar (son of  Ravana), second one the lord "Ganapathy" and the third one is "Dancing Lady".
Please have a look on all paintings and give your precious feedback.
I have referred all paintings from search engines and have given my own different touch to each.

I have used poster color on simple drawing sheets with different sizes.

Hanuman is with A3 size, Dancing lady with A3 size again and Ganapathy with A2 size.

Hope you all like it, thank you for viewing :)

Happy Holi

Hello Everyone!!

Welcome to "Colors Of Life"

HAPPY HOLI TO ALL :)

May your life be full of colors and sweetness as these Rasgullas..and hope your life is framed with all the colors of love and happiness today and always!

As I had mentioned in my earlier posts am very much interested in food photography.. am posting today the pic of Colored Rasgullas (made using natural colors) I had made some days back.. please have a look.. Recipe is mentioned below..

This dish is well known all over India.. recipe courtesy "Flavors and Colors"

Ingredients :
For chenna(paneer),
1 ltr whole milk
2tsp vinegar + 2 tsp lemon juice (mixed it with lil warm water)
For sugar syrup,
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup water
2tsp rose water or cardamom powder a pinch.
Bring milk to boil. When It starts raising add vinegar and lemon juice mixture and stir. It stars curdling. Let it curdle completely and then transfer this to a muslin cloth and hang till all watery liquid stains..nearly for 45 mins to one hour. Its a crucial step as it turns complete dry if it's kept hanging for more time and rasgullas turn hard.
Then remove chenna and knead it till a very smooth dough. Make balls of it. Make medium sized as it doubles after cooking.Till you make these balls ready on a stove with medium flame keep pressure cooker add water and sugar to it and when sugar completely dissolves and small bubbles occurs transfer all paneer balls to it and pressure cook it. Keep in high flame till first whistle and sim for next 7 mins. Then switch off the flame and let it cool. rasgullas are ready. smile emoticon
For coloring them.. I kept in beetroot syrup for pink color and kesar syrup for yellow color. You can also make chocolate color by adding chocolate powder to paneer dough while kneading it.
Thank you.. happy cooking..

Thanks so much for viewing :)

Photographs

Hello all!

Welcome to "Colors Of Life"

We all know Life is very beautiful.. we can make it even more beautiful by incorporating our passions into it.. Of course giving priority to my painting skills.. I am also very much passionate about photography and also singing..but yea I have almost left singing now.. (my mom keeps on scolding me for not keeping my singing practice ;) )

Coming to my photography skills.. I am very much interested especially in "Food Photography". I never miss a chance of capturing food when I make something new in my kitchen..Now its summer..( I remember the song from movie "Frozen".. olaf sings his imagination of summer  :D ) and in our house lunch cannot be completed without "Tambli"..yes its compulsory.. its basically fresh coconut based havyaka dish.. For tomato tambli, coconut is blended with fresh tomato, cumin seeds, salt and little curd then seasoned with oil, red chili, cumin seeds, few curry leaves and mustard seeds..  and we all love it..

Because I feel Photography is also an ART.. it can obviously be posted in my blog ;) So please go through all the pics and give your feedback..

Here today I have shared pics of  "Tomato Tambli" and "Stuffed okra" I had made recently.. Stuffed Okra is a nice side dish for lunch and for dinner..
